Many the supercars are getting bigger and wider with the crossover element. In the past few months lot of crossover, cars have been introduced and they are exceptional in every manner.
Even automakers have decided to reveal or say introduce their concept cars for the next year which surely creates more hype than ever.
Subaru one of the known automakers in the world has decided to show up and reveal their concept car for the upcoming year.
Subaru Solterra 2023 is an electric crossover and it looks adventurous. Believe it or not, on paper it’s a big rival for Kia, Tesla Model Y, etc.
Because with the design and look it’s massive with the aggressive look. Subaru has done some real work on the exterior and features of the car.
Subaru Solterra 2023 – Exterior Crossover
Subaru Solterra, an electric crossover has some major capabilities of surviving on adventurous roads without any issue.
The exterior design, it’s modern and gives you a futuristic car vibe. It has an off-road driving mode which really does help to increase its capability and performance off the pavement.
It even includes hill descent control which can help guide you down the steep off-road hill and gets up in a similar situation.
Not only that, but Solterra also has standard all-wheel drive, most like other Subaru. But unlike most other rival electric models at this price point which usually come in two-wheel drive not the case here all-wheel-drive stay in Solterra.
You can call it putting a little bit of adventure in EV. Subaru Solterra 2023 allows you to use the automaker’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system branding and delivers 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque.
Performance is undoubtedly top-notch, but what about the batteries. According to the Subaru, “the 72.8-kWh lithium-ion battery needs about 56 minutes to reach 80 percent state of charge on a DC fast charger, and its maximum charging capacity is 100 kW.”
To give more ruggedness, Subaru gave the massive plastic fenders that you can see on both front and rear.
The front side also looks aggressive with newly designed headlights with the badge in the middle and a great finish on the hood.
Going to the back, you get the large boot room to store some stuff in it. With the long new horizontal L-shaped taillights.
Last year, Lexus also introduced their “NX 350H” and it was a small luxury car.
Subaru Solterra 2023 – Interior
Getting inside of the car you get to see some other features that attract Subaru lovers out there. First, the gauge speedometer is placed at eye level which might help the driver to monitor their speed without any issue.
If you are getting the standard edition, then you get an 8.0-inch touchscreen while Limited and Touring models get a bigger 12.3-inch display.
The seats are premium and the leather material used also feels modern with a little bit of detailing on it. The same kind of leather is used on the steering wheel and it can be adjustable as well.
Knowing the fact that it doesn’t offer the par performance, range, battery, compared to rivals. But still why you should think of buying it?
One of the main reasons is the price point, although Subaru hasn’t yet announced it looks like it might undercut most of its rivals considering it has standard all-wheel.
