New season, new car, and that means faster than the previous version. Recently Formula One teams have revealed their superfast cars worldwide, but everyone’s attention was on one team and that’s Mercedes.

Mercedes have also taken off the cover from their new W14 with the hope of returning to title contention; the Car is back to black livery after a year in silver.

Both the driver Lewis Hamilton and George Russell excited about this one. Mercedes had to produce an extremely fast F1 car because, in the current slot, Redbull and Ferrari hoping to win the battle.

This time, Mercedes changed the whole dynamic of the car and the color too as mentioned earlier.

Mercedes W14 F1 Car Reveal 2023

Mercedes are back with the Black Ivory just like the previous 2020 and 2021 seasons. The team returned to its traditional silver last year but has now reverted to black as part of what the team called a “significant project” to reduce overall weight.

In the new W14, Mercedes call “an “earlier iteration” of the design – and a more up-to-date physical car – that shows the narrow side-pods have indeed been retained, among other eye-catching features like the inlets and a new profiling at the top of the engine cover.”

No doubt, last time Mercedes car was overweight and it struggled throughout the season. Last season was a big disappointment undoubtedly overall even the drivers couldn’t secure pole position at all.

Team principal Toto Wolff said: “We were overweight last year. This year we have tried to figure out where we can squeeze out every single gram.

“So now, history repeats itself. You will see that the car has some raw carbon bits, along with some that are painted matte black.

“Of course, when we changed the livery in 2020 the main driving factor was to support the diversity and equality causes which are always close to our heart.

“The color black became part of our DNA at that point, so we are pleased to return to it.”

Adding Double Digit In Horsepower

For those who might be thinking about the performance, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s team unveiled their W14 challenger, the first big step as they attempt to end Red Bull’s dominance.
