Tesla loves to stay on the news and be the center of attention. This time there’s no involvement in the crypto market or anything.

Tesla’s new model S Plaid has broken numerous production car records for their first independent tests with the insane 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds. Less than 2 seconds? Wait, wait are you serious?

That’s true, even when Tesla announced their new Model S Plaid the automakers already said, that “   it’s going to break the record for the quickest production car with a 0-60 mph in 1.99 seconds and quarter-mile in 9.2 seconds.”

Tesla Model S Plaid-Breaks All The Records

Tesla has done it again and performed beyond expectations. After an exclusive MotorTrend test, Tesla Model S Plaid reached the next level of speed and performance.

It was something new for MotorTrends, no one expected the outcome and anxious about it. But before heading to the newest model, MotorTrends tested sedan on a sticky asphalt surface at the Famoso Raceway near Bakersfield, California.

But what’s incredible is that when Model S Plaid steps up, it got insane with the speed and achieved even faster than expected.

1.98 seconds 0 to 60 mph acceleration and a quarter-mile in 9.25 seconds at 152.6 mph with the usage of drag strip launch mode, which slightly takes a little while to get activated, and once it gets it behaves like “Cheetah Stance” for sure.

That’s not tall, because 0-60mph within 2 seconds only comes with the caveat that can be achieved only with the VHT-prepped surface at a drag strip.

Tesla Spokesperson Shared His Views

One of Tesla’s spokespersons said to the media that, “they believe “most customers” will run the Model S Plaid at dragstrips, but many dragstrips will require a bunch of additional safety measures before a vehicle as fast as the new Model S Plaid can race, which could discourage many owners.”

There’s no doubt, Tesla Model S Plaid has beaten every production vehicle’s new record, even beaten up ‘Ferrari LaFerrari’ in a quarter-mile of it.

The man himself Elon Musk have released a statement after the independent test, “no production car has ever done 0-60 mph in under 2.0 seconds.”

Model S Plaid-Update and Progress

Model S Plaid is the upgrade version of Model S, that took nine years of production and the new one will be launching in 2022 with the much lighter in weight, more powerful, and unrecognizable from inside.

The interior is premium because they have invested their research in making the Model S Plaid’s interior more luxurious, spacious, and tidy in every manner.

For a fun fact, the company itself said, that “the front seat rails are the only retained parts.”

One of the biggest changes is the new Dash. It featured the newly designed infotainment landscape system similar to Model 3 and Model Y.

Other things include a new digital instrument cluster, a new screen for rear passengers, hidden HVAC vents, and, of course, the most controversial ‘Yoke’ Steering Wheel.

Tesla Model S Plaid surely broke the acceleration record, but would they be able to break the sale record too? Will this model fulfill the whole desire of the customer’s need related to the car?

No doubt the car is top-notch the upgradable model looks like a pure new thing. Now everyone will be keeping their eyes on the other elite supercars, will they break Tesla Model S Plaid’s record?
