Chevrolet is owning 2023 by introducing their upcoming insane supercars and it’s attracting everyone in every manner.
And this time Chevrolet found a way to enter into the world where every automaker has already been there and made the name.
It’s strange that Chevrolet took almost 70 years to enter into electric motor and is ready to introduce their new E-Ray the first hybrid version of the eighth-generation sports car and the first to feature all-wheel drive.
The new 2024 Corvette E-Ray is unique like other sports cars introduced in the past years, it’s a major step for the Corvette, and today we are going to have a deep look into it.
2024 Corvette E-Ray – New Direction Towards Electric
The 2024 Corvette E-Ray is not the all-electric hypercar, because as per the speculations Chevrolet is all pumped up to introduce a fully electric sports car but in reality, it isn’t. Corvette E-Ray is the traditional hybrid car and that’s it.
Before the exterior sporty design, the performance is on another level and sort of sets the bar like always.
The front-axle electric motor will put out 160 horsepower, while the 6.2-liter small block V-8 engine will produce 495 horsepower, giving the sports car a total of 655 hp and 585 pound-feet of torque.
Coming to the exterior design, the 2024 Corvette E-Ray has a Stealth look and that’s what distinguishes Corvette E-ray from others.
In terms of power, there are various similarities between E-Ray and Chevy Corvette Z06 model. The same thing goes for the exterior design, E-Ray uses Z06’s body it’s 3 and a half wider at back, and two and a half inches wider in front.
E-Ray shares that area with wider room to have wider wheels because they are wider than Z06.
At the back rear wing undoubtedly looks aggressive and purely complements the overall design. Even the taillights look awesome with the cutting-edge style design.
You also get four exhaust pipes like all the C8 models to have, but the Z06 ones are placed in the middle and this one is set on each side.
Now talk about pricing, Chevy says that it’s going to be around $104,000 and it’s kinda little cheaper than Z06.
2024 Corvette E-Ray – Eye-Catching Interior
Once you open the door, you get to see the stylish, comfortable bucket seats with the incredible color combination that provides legit comfort.
There aren’t any specific changes inside the e-ray unlike C8 models, but still, some point out changes such as carbon fiber utilization, from the entire center console to gauge cluster and around the steering wheel.
Even on the doors and on the seats as well. Another worth noticing is the premium leather used inside the interior and the stitch detailing.
Corvette E-Ray is sure holds some space in the electric world not fully but it’s worth having Corvette half-electric model around.
