Audi Avus Quattro is one of the rarest cars ever produced by Audi. And one of the interesting things is that Audi Avus Quattro is a 100% aluminum build car.
Yes! You read it right, we have heard carbon fiber build over the past years but this is something that no one can expect it.
With the exterior design, Audi Avus Quattro looks gorgeous in every manner and there’s no doubt aluminum build grabs every shine at once.
Another fun fact, from the chassis to the entire body was built by hand and can imagine millions of hammer blows to get the perfect shape.
Audi Avus Quattro – It’s Not Normal
The first and foremost question is, why aluminum? Audi used it to have more lightweight and environmentally friendly.
And another fun fact if you think that it’s been made a few years back you are mistaken. This car was built in 1991, although the car itself gives you the vibe of futuristic but the more we get into it you might get the hint of a retro aspect in it.
The front looks incredible as the headlights surely headed to the retro style and so does the grill. But overall body of the car looks impressive.
You also get gigantic tyres, nowadays automakers go for thinner tyres but back then thick tyres were the fashion and trendy.
On the top you have these glass panels, so everything is glass, but it’s been split by air intake which no doubt looks sick.
At the back, you get to see the three-headed monster exhaust and the back looks sick. You don’t get to see such kind of design nowadays at all.
Heading to the performance center, it was envisioned with a massive W12 making a little over 500 horsepower that was just a dummy 6.0-liter engine carved from wood and plastic.
Audi did the math and projected a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) run in three seconds and a top speed of 210 mph (334 km/h).
Audi Avus Quattro – Interior
The interior of the Audi Avus Quattro looks luxurious right when you open the door. With the first look, it doesn’t look like a 30-year-old interior with premium leather because still that refined.
You get to see the quality leather wrapped all over eth bucket comfort seat and seats making you feel like you driving a sports car.
Apart from luxurious leather, everything about the interior is retro and it’s worth checking out.
Despite it’s not futuristic, Audi does consider to be top in the future and that’s why in 2024 they introduced A6 Avant E-Tron Concept Car.
