This 6-meter long vehicle by Mercedez (19.7 feet to be precise) was unveiled at Monterey Car Week in California in August 2017 Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet. The car was launched under the Maybach division of the German automobile manufacturers Mercedes-Benz. This stunner of a car is an all-electric 2.2 coupé. The car has a width of 2.1 meters.

The car although quite luxurious in its look, gives you a rather contemporary feeling instead of the sporty, edgy feeling you get by looking at most of the car nowadays.

The car is a cabriolet and the rear part of the car gives you the look of a yacht

The Design:

At the front, you’ve got the class Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet front grille with pinstripe scissors and the headlights are shaped like the eyes of a cat. The car uses gull-wing doors and has a rear window that’s split. The car has massive wheels of 24-inch.

Although all the components of the car are rather massive the roof sits quite low which gives the car a sleek stature. The car has thin cameras in place of the conventional side mirrors. On the front end of the car, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet script is engraved on the grille and the hood has the typical Mercedes badge.

At the back you can see the same LED treatment that is applied in the front as well, there are thin tail lights that run across the entire fascia. There are two chrome strips that begin on the front hood and stretch through the car’s beltline and almost into the taillights as well.

Coming on to the interior. The car contains a cockpit that is quite futuristic with its comfortable and large passenger and driver seats that have more than enough legroom. The cabin is lined up with various displays and touch screens. Even the doors panels, windshield, and the dashboard, all have a screen on them.

The center section, background screen, instrument cluster, and the door panels are all illuminated in blue.

The seats and the floor are rather simple as one would expect. The center tunnel and the steering column are both transparent and the center tunnel also showcases the flow of electrical energy in the driving system.

The car also includes the feature of autonomous drive. The interior is wrapped in high-quality material and the seating surfaces come in Chesterfield while the accents are in Rose Gold.

“the drive system has an output of 550 kW (750 PS). This not only allows performance characteristics typical of a sports car (acceleration from 0–100 km/h in under four seconds, top speed electronically governed at 250 km/h) but also a range of over 500 kilometres according to the NEDC (over 200 miles according to EPA). The quick-charge function is also visionary: as a result of DC charging based on the CCS standard, the system allows a charging capacity of up to 350 kW. In just five minutes enough power can be charged to achieve an additional range of around 100 kilometres.”

This four-wheel-drive is a five-door lift-back and has a range of about 450 miles and is designed with a drag coefficient of 0.20. It is a large hatchback containing a bonnet, roof, and boot which is clad with about 5 square meter of solar panels which enables the car to be driven up to nearly 500 miles on a single charge which completely distinguishes it from your conventional plug-in electric car with only some solar cells present on the roof.

The Driving Experience:

The car is an all-wheel-drive and has an output of 550 kW that enables the concept to go from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds. The top speed is expected to be limited to 155 mph

Final Outlook:

This concept car delivers in all the departments spectacularly. The car is expected to remain a concept only but Mercedes will most probably manufacture something that has some features in common with this concept car.
